BRIEF HISTORY:
Since the inception of the college in 1984, Hindi is introduced as a Minor and Basic subject in B.A beginning it self to get few students in minor and Basic Hindi that time one part time Lecturer R.S.Pujar was appointed for the First year. In the second year with the increasing number of classes and students in 1985. Sri.M.A.Rati full time Lecturer is appointed on 29-06-1985. In 1985-86 the Commerce faculty was also started in which Hindi was a basic subject in B.Com-I.
In 1991 three equal subject were introduced by Karnataka University, Dharwad. Since then Hindi is taught as optional in Arts along with Basic Hindi in Commerce. In 1991-92 the Science faculty was also started in which Hindi was a Basic subject in B.Sc-I and B.Sc-II. There after two full time Lecturer are working in Hindi department and A.G. Pathan appointed as full time Lecturer on 15-06-1992.
The results of the Hindi Department as more than 95% every year constantly.
