BRIEF HISTORY:
The Department of Education is started in the year 1985. Prof.S.B. Gavarawad and Prof. G. C. Jampananavar the two faculty members of the department teach 16Hrs per week. The present strength of the department is 181. In the year 1990 with introduction of three equal subjects Education became one of the main optional subjects. The semester system is introduced by the university since 2005-06 academic year. The result of the department is average between 97% to 100%. The academic performance of the department is unique as quite a few secured ranks.
Mr.V.N.Amatigoudar, S.I.Gogeri, Miss.Nagaveni.Irappa and Miss.Jaya,Harti. The students are being motivated to take part in the seminars, tests, group discussion etc. Our staff members are actively participated in Orientation, Refresher Courses, Workshops, Training programme, State, National, International Seminars and Guest Lectures etc. Prof.G.C.Jampannavar had completed and award M.Phil degree in April 2008. Prof.G.C.Jampannavar has under taken research work(Ph.D). Prof.S.B.Gavrawad was NSS officer of our college during the year 1993 to 1997. Prof.G.C.Jampannavar was NSS officer of our college during the year 2005 to 2009. For developing the department in all terms library gives maximum help by providing valuable books, periodicals, journals to the students as well as staff members. There are nearly 1537 books in the education department.
